Following an inspection carried out at one of our current projects, we are proud to state that we continue to be a member of the Federation of Master Builders after once again meeting their strict requirements and adhering to their Code of Conduct.
As a result, we have now been a member of the FMB for an unbelievable 31 consecutive years.
We are proud to stand alongside the FMB in holding up and ensuring quality work, care & attention to detail and safety standards throughout the construction industry.
Recently, David and Stephen completed a CITB backed course aimed at improving the knowledge of builders in relation to AI and how it can be used in the construction industry.
Specifically, it looked at improving marketing, submitting quotations quicker, assessing tender documents, scheduling follow ups with clients better, and improved decision making when it comes to deciding to price work.
Although we will always feel that the more personable and human approach is the best way, we cannot get away from the fact that AI is becoming a larger element in all aspects of everyday society. This is why we decided to take the course and start using the areas which would benefit us the most.
We already feel this is has started to work, especially in the marketing side, based on the fact that four projects have been secured since the completion of this at the end of June.
We are proud to be a CITB member and hope this shows potential clients and partners that our team is skilled, certified, and committed to top industry standards.
We have handed over our project on Kedleston Road in Darley Abbey and it has been a pleasure working with both Mingxuan & Nick and making their dream space become reality. The feedback received from them both makes our jobs worthwhile:

Our project in Littleover (image above) was the site the FMB inspectors chose to carry out their assessment.

We are pleased to announce we have achieved Silver & Bronze accreditation with Constructionline. This will enable us to be considered for more lucrative tender lists as well as providing our current, and future, clients with peace of mind that we take health and safety seriously.
From application to certification was a period of 19 days. A fantastic effort from all the team involved in securing this.
We can reveal that our project on Duffield Road in Derby has been celebrated by Derby City Council for excellence in conservation and enhanced City heritage in an awards ceremony today.
The project was awarded the prestigious George Rennie City Heritage award for its work on shopfront enhancements, especially within the Strutt’s Park Conservation Area.
The Chair of the Derby City Conservation & Heritage Advisory Committee, Paul McLocklin, presented the certificate at a ceremony in the Council House to our Contracts Manager, Mark Tweed, and said the shopfront was his favourite in the Derby area and that it makes a “pleasing positive visual impact” to the area.
Congratulations are in order for all the team who contributed on this project.

We are pleased to announce that the first phase of our major development at Matlock won the Derbyshire Historic Building Trust award for the ‘Best New Building in an Historic setting.” Designed and collected by Dan Greenway of Evans Vettori Architecture.
